Not sure what the cause of that would be.
Clear your IE cookies. Start>Settings>Control Panel>Internet Options>General tab>under Temporary files, click on Delete Cookies.
Reset your homepage.
Restart your machine.
See if that clears it up.
Many web pages are now better suited to IE7 also. You may want to upgrade from IE6.
