How to change my IP.

i have a rather strange or wierd question.. lol

i have a thomson, model TCW710 router, and it works fine and all that.. but it changes my IP. My "original" or what ever IP is "82.158.223.**" and the router changes it into 192.168.0.10, you know .. that stupid default IP or what ever. My internet works and all that.. but i have huge problems downloading ... every time i want to use DC++ [i used to use this program a lot before i changed my modem, and i was happy as hell], anyway .. i get kicked from every single hub with the reason -> "your IP is not 192.168..... it's 82.158.223.**" .. and i can't download ...

soooo.. my question is.. can i make something to my router so it doesnt change my IP? .... just leave it as it is [the 82.158.223.** .. one] so i wont have any more problems? .. can someone help me please? :(

thank you
