I'd guess most are 2nd or 3rd generation in France* - so cstr they "came from" France. Or would you send me back to Poland because that's where my Grandfather "came from" 100 years ago?

* Anyone know the possessive for a person from France? E.G.: I'm an American. Some here are Australian or Canadian. What's a guy from France say?
