Horray for Europe (EU).

Actually as I understand it, many more 'developed' members of the EU have 'quotas' of people that they will let in from certain 'new' EU members to stop too much economic migration.

What would also be interesting is how Germany coped with East and West being reunited: lots of people from the east looking to make their fortune in the west bit. In fact I did hear it said that it was because of reunification that Germany was not the finantial powerhouse it had been in the good old days of Britain crashing out of the ERM.
