Thanks. It's an IDE drive. Have a look at the jumper at the back of the drive:

Before you install the drive inside the computer, make sure the jumper is removed (drive set to slave).
Then open the computer case with the computer disconnected from the wall socket.
Connect the drive to the middle contact on a free ribbon cable (the ones connected to hard drives and CD drives).
Also - connect it to a 4-pin power plug.
