Seagate 80 gb external..can I retrieve data on it after it has "died"

I have an 80 gb seagate external hard drive. s/n 5lr163zs p/n 9w286d-560. It says there is no serviceable parts. Last night it started making a nosie. So it won't work now. Is there some way I can retrieve the data I have on it. I have alot of files on it that I would REALLY hate to lose. thanks for any help.
