If one of the MAC changing utilities doesn't do it, it must be probing the actual MAC address embedded in the firmware of the NIC. Unless you can access that firmware, I don't see you you're going to change the address. You may be able to find an external NIC, either PCMCIA or USB, that will allow a firmware upgrade and a MAC address change.
