Re: confused
Thanks, This is not what I was trying to do, but after removing all components from the back of my computer and relocating the computer to a different area, and also changing out my monitor with a different one, the damn thing works fine now. I push the start button and BLAAAAM, where off and running. Don't ask me why this may have fixed the problem, all I know is that it works fine. This has happened in the past with another computer that I have, and it to seemed to straighten it self out, and this was after trying to find a solution. I would still like to know what causes a hung start. It can be very frustrating when in a hurry. Thanks for the quick responds. Oh, about the set up. One each SATA, and Two each IDE, Cable select. I have two drives running off the IDE ribbon in cable select mode. If I remember wright, Pro is on the drive set up as SATA. I am using Acronis OS select . Now for some reason windows steps up and after I make my selection with Acronis it boots into the Windows OS select screen. If I boot into Windows XP Pro, it goes straight into the windows screen. I would assume Pro is first to be recognized as the primary OS. Hell... to be honest with you, I don't have a clue. You have most probable figured that out by now. If you would, I sure would like to know what to do in order to stay away from this problem.
Thanks,
DONK ( Don K. Jones )
