Turns out to be a defective DIMM. Feeling frustration trying to get my system to work, I opened the shell casing the Mushkin DIMM was in. Does this void the warranty? According to the stamped label, it does. But it was a mail ordered item. Even though I've only owned it for about 6 months, returning items on a mail order basis can get very frustrating. Is the shell casing a necessity for DIMMs?
