Re: Wildcat Realizm 800
After booting the computer and prior to opening ACAD (or any software), access "Display Properties" from the desktop or control panel/select the "Settings" tab/select the "Advanced" button/select the "Troubleshooting" tab/adjust the "Hardware Acceleration" slider from "Full" to a lower setting/exit "Display Properties".
Open ACAD; the software will function properly at this setting and the artifacts (white lines) will no longer appear or cause a problem with the display. However, if you feel you need "Full" acceleration, once ACAD has been opened and refreshed, minimize the program, access "Display Properties" and reset "Hardware Acceleration" to "Full" using the procedure described above; the artifacts will not return or affect the display. Be aware that once the computer is shut down and rebooted, you will have to repeat this procedure. 3DLabs no longer offers driver support for their cards; Autodesk and Adobe tech support offer no solution (the CS3 software causes the same anomaly); and this is the only work-around I've found that resolves the problem.
