You will need to go to the Seagate™ website
here (click the coloured link); download
"Seatools for Windows".
Read the instructions and run the diagnostic tools on the computer with the 'grating' Hard Drive...once that's done post back with what ever 'error messages' it gives, and we will advise you about a solution.
