I'd like my pc to be a bit faster, like when loading software, shutting down and starting up and playing some online games. Apart from putting in some more ram and upgrading the computer, is there any settings that you can toggle about with to make the general speed of the computer faster? right now I'm using an Intel Pentium D 3ghz processor and have 1024MB RAM but it feels like a 512MB. I think that this might have something to do with Windows Vista OS and they might be slower because of the Windows Aero. Sorry if I put this in the wrong place.
