Hi:

One of my friend's office laptop hard drive seems dead. It was making sounds 2 days back when we were trying to boot the laptop. Boot was very very slow and gave blue screen error. Then she asked the tech support in the office and the guy replied following:

"I have bad news on your hard drive. I have tried every way I know how to recover the data but the problem is the drive is physically bad and doesn't even register as being install in the laptop. There is no way to get any data off of this drive or to repair it."

Is there any way to recover data from this drive? All your suggestions are most welcome.
