Re: Cloning hard drives

if needed here are some guides

Here are the instructions which will allow you to post a "picture" on whats on your monitor. You can then paste your picture into any forum thread which you are being helped in. Also know as a Screen Shot.

Here Goes:

Enter what ever program or topic you wish to share with the TSF staff helping you with your thread. Common requests are Speedfan, Sensor View Pro, Disk Management & Device Manager screen shots.

A) While you have on your monitor the content you wish to share; hold down the Control Key (CTRL) on your keyboard at the same time hold down the Print Sceen Key (PRTSCN) located next to the F12 key on your keyboard (upper left of the number pad)

B) Open Microsoft Paint (start /all programs /accessories) one the edit button of the toolbar / choose paste

You should now see your monitors screen shot. You can if desired mark up your screen shot for illistration and discussion purposes, the spray paint is the most common tool used for that. After you are done altering (if needed) your screen shot you must save the file to your computer hard drive.
Got to the file button on the toolbar / choose "save as" / enter a name you will remember / change the file extension to .png

C) Now open your internet browser and navigate to http://imageshack.us/
here is what you will see

from within the image shack console you need to
go to browse this will be how you point to the location you saved your screen shot on your computer

then put a check mark in the resize image box change the image size to 800 x 600 or if you want the forum to read alot of small print choose 1024 x 768

now click the host button on the bottom of the console screen

D) The next screen will have mutiple links which are all a link to your custom monitor screen shot. at the bottom bunch of links choose the upper most link from the bottom group of links. Simply hold your mouse pointer over the link and right mouse click and choose copy.

E) Now navigate to the TSF thread which you wish to place your screen shot. Hit the reply button in your thread, once in your thread, right mouse click and select paste from the mouse menu.

F) thats it; your done. Now hit the submit button on the TSF thread reply.

Congrats; now hopefully you have just furnished additional information which will assist a TSF staff member or general member to resolve your problem or questions.

goodluck and be patient
