With my old laptop the power system failed and in order to recover some of the files from it i have bought an External box usb 2.0 to IDE connection to recover them.
When i put the hard drive in and connect it up it does not show it on 'my computer', so i checked device manager it shows up there. I have tried it on two different OS systems XP and Vista and it says its not formatted. It clearly is though. Is all my data gone?? Can someone please help.
