Thanks for your replies,

I have considered burning onto discs my files from my documents etc but most of my Itunes is either downloaded files from Limewire or from cd's so i guess i would need one of those external hard drives. I have actually seen them around and thought that might be what i was looking for. They cost around £80 i think?

About the internet. We have BT Broadband. So not a dial up one. *looks for a modem* yes we have one of them, a BT one.
I heard i would need a wireless router? but i dont know what that is
