I tied to coma back to the original bios version witch is on the support cd provided with the moterboard.
I get back in bios "Azalia controller" instead of HD audio, but it's still not detected in windows. Heu, i just see the windows UAA driver for CMEDIA triyng to install, but nothing to do, it doesn't work.
I m afraid that the last bios make a permanent change on the chip, so what would be necessary is : 1-changing motherboard, 2 - having a new driver fot the cmedia controller....
i had a look on the cmedia website, there isn't any driver for this chip.....
It 's amazing that asus doesn't know anything about this problem, nor try to help us with this.....
in my situation this is not a big problem, as this pc is for an audio workstation in which i'll have two dsp audio cards...... BUT I WANT TO UNDERSTAND !!!!
