Who told you that? What tech company were you talking to: ie Microsoft, the ISP, the modem's tech support?

It does sound like a server problem on yahoo & hotmail's side, if clearing cookies doesn't help try contacting your email providers and describing the problem. They might have a couple ideas, I'm really not that knowledgeable on web based mail, I use more of the POP3 clients like Outlook and Oe.

Just so I'm clear on this you are physically on their websites when you compose and send your message, your not in anyway using 3rd party software like OE right?
